We are a quality Standard Poodle breeder, specializing in Silver Standards Poodles.  We are located in Central Illinois, close to Peoria.    We only raise one or two litters per year, each one carefully planned. Dan and I are a retired couple and spend lots of time with each puppy individually, bringing out their potential.  We strive to place each puppy with its new adoptive family with the personality that will be a winning combination! The puppies are handled from the moment of birth and totally socialized and loved.

Our puppies are raised the first few weeks in our home so we can handle them and give them plenty of attention.  As they grow, we love to have our grandchildren come and play with the puppies so the puppies will be wonderfully socialized when they leave here for their new homes.   We are located out in the country and the puppies have three acres to explore. 

Email note from a happy adoptive family Sept 2010:

"Hello,
 
I am just updating you on the dog we bought from you in August. When we brought him home we named him Zeus. He came to us completely crate trained! So far there has never been an accident in his cage! Zeus is very smart and only had accidents in the house once in a blue when we first brought him home. He now comes and gets me when he has to go outside. I can tell he wants to go because he runs to me and the steps until I get up. I have taught Zeus to sit, fetch his toys and to drop his toys. We plan to teach him more tricks soon! Zeus had his first vet appointment a week after we got him from you. The vet complimented his health. There was not one thing wrong with him! He has been current on his shots and the vet is going to talk to us about a future date to get him neutered.
 
Zeus is very sweet and will play with his toys and then have to walk over to say hi. When he gets his love he needed he will go back to play or take a nap. We have taken him to Pet Smart twice to get a bath and just today he got his first real haircut. He is  so handsome! They loved him there, but said he was a little wiggle butt. I was amazed at how easy he goes to the bathroom once outside. He does not fool around! He can go on command! I am so happy that we found you and that you had such a nice healthy selection of poodles.
 
When Zeus first came to our home he was shy about being a city boy. Every noise spooked him and he would bark at all our neighbors and other dogs. The vet told me to pet him and talk calmly to him when he would do that. It seemed to help him feel secure and he now will let people greet him without barking. I do let him bark a few times when someone comes to the door, but once I find out who it is I can tell him "quiet" and he will stop. He has a few dog friends and every human compliments his looks  and personality!
 
Today when I took him in the car to get his hair done he made me laugh. He looked like a old man sitting in the seat looking foward. I can't really explain the expression he had, but it was way too cute!
 
Zeus now weighs 21 lbs and is very healthy, happy, sweet and lovey!
